The Gower Society has published its Journal, "Gower" annually for over 50 years. The late Bernard Morris M.B.E. was editor for many years. It contains articles recording the history and other interesting facts about the AONB and the Lordship.

As usual the Chairman comments on the past year. Amongst the contributors Bryan Taylor reveals the facts about the paint mine. Geoffrey Orrin describes the rebuilding of Reynoldston Church and Gerald Gabb delves into the murky past of Caswell Valley. There are accounts of two paintings of Oxwich and one of Overton. Jo Higgins and Andrew Sherman write about Swansea Castle excavation and David Whitehead writes about the history of Clyne Valley.

The Chairman comments on the past year. Amongst the contributors Rod Cooper retuns to the history of Llanrhidian. Enid Leech recalls Gower of 1931-3, and Gerald Gabb tells us about the Norman Lords of Gower. Mike Lewis has written about Kilvey Hill, whose praises he usually sings on walks. Colin Jones has written an update on the Brandy Cove lead mine, to go with a history of limesone quarrying by Brian Taylor. Judith Oakley has been surveying the mud under Mumbles pier and we have another restoration - Rhossili Church.
